Alison Napjus from Wine Spectator rated this vintage 96 points. The 2010 is an exceptional vintage.

Tasting Note: The luminous sweetness of tropical fruit – green mango, melon, pineapple – instantly shines. It then cedes to more temperate notes, the tingle of orange zest, the mist of a mandarin orange. The wine breathes, revealing its freshness. The bloom after the rain. A tactile ensation of peony, jasmine and lilac. The wine immediately imposes its ample presence, full and massive. A sappy sensation dominates as the tactile is rapidly overtaken by the aromatic. The body unfolds: generous, firm and controlled. Then it contracts, letting the wine vibrate with spices and pepper. The energy is sustained to a scintillating, saline finish.

Every Grand Vintage is unique and original, the Moët & Chandon Chef de Cave's personal, free interpretation of the singular qualities of that year's grapes. The House's 73rd vintage, Grand Vintage 2009, has an obvious maturity. The initial nuances of the bouquet are harvest notes and vanilla which gradually expand into darker, toastier notes (grilled sesame seeds, roasted almonds, mocha). Concurrently, hints of juicy, fleshy fruits (peaches, apricots) and a floral scent of roses and peonies round out the delicate ensemble. On the palate, the controlled power of the Pinot Noir, with notes of honey and mid spices, is underscored by a nuance of pink grapefruit.

Blend: Pinot Noir 50%, Chardonnay 36%, Meunier 14%

Dom Pérignon Vintage is the First Plénitude of Dom Pérignon, the result of over 8 years of elaboration. The harmony of Dom Pérignon is revealed.

Richard Geoffroy said "Dom Pérignon liberates the 2008 vintage, freeing it from an over-literal interpretation of the canons of Champagne." Tasting Notes: The opening bouquet is complex and luminous, a mingling of white flowers, citrus and stone fruit
