This right here is the 2018 edition of the Reserva de la Familia Tequila, Jose Cuervo's annual extra añejo expression. Extraordinarily flavoursome stuff, taking on plenty of influence from its long stay in the casks, but still showing off distinctive agave elements.
Tasting Note
Nose: Toasty oak and agave, apple turnovers and wood spices.
Palate: More sweet wood spices, vanilla and agave. Dried herbs.
Finish: Sweet and spicy.
