If you know Piquepoul, it's probably as the crisp white you drink with seafood. Piquepoul Noir is its much rarer dark-skinned relation, and here Foncalieu has used it to make a pale, dry rosé with plenty of freshness and rather more personality than your average pink.

It's particularly aromatic, with cherry blossom, rose petal and lilac alongside strawberry, peach and a touch of mango. Summer berry flavours follow on the palate, lifted by fresh lemon and lime and a crisp, refreshing finish.

Food Pairing

Serve well chilled with summer salads, grilled chicken, shellfish, cod fritters or tapas. The fresh citrus character makes it particularly good with seafood, or simply as an aperitif.
